Cryptic error message when validating SSL certificate

When working on a local server, I use Self-Signed SSL certificates.

The reported error (from Rust I guess) is not clear, and only at the end reads about the failed error-18 about the self-signed certificated.

Unfortunately the error message ALWAYS reports HTTPS as protocol on the failing url, even when requesting an HTTP endpoint.

Please provide a better error message on those cases:

• report the used schema, and do not use HTTPS if not specified

• allow to ignore self-signed certificates per-environment (not per project)
