Automatic theme not following system light/dark mode

When setting the color theme to “Automatic” on Fedora 42, the application does not correctly switch between the designated light and dark themes based on the system’s appearance setting. My expectation is for the app to automatically adjust its theme to match the system’s light/dark mode preference, but this behavior is not currently working.
